Dalian C&I Achieves New Milestones — Successfully Completes Electrical Engineering of G7500-3 Liquid CO₂ Carrier, Empowering Global Clean Energy Maritime Transportation
2025-12-24
Recently, the G7500-3 Liquid CO₂ Carrier, whose full-vessel electrical system construction and commissioning were undertaken by Dalian C&I Marine Engineering Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Dalian C&I"), was successfully named, delivered and set sail smoothly at the DSIC Offshore Engineering base. The high-quality delivery of this project marks another major breakthrough for Dalian C&I in the field of electrical construction for clean energy vessels, and also embodies the company’s strategic transformation from a traditional marine engineering electrical contractor to a green and low-carbon marine electrical system solution provider.
As the third vessel in the series, the electrical construction of G7500-3 fully demonstrated Dalian C&I’s outstanding lean project management and continuous optimization capabilities. The project team thoroughly reviewed experience from previous vessels, focused on technical processes, construction workflows, cost control, technical support and resource allocation, carried out systematic innovations in coordination and on-site management, and implemented optimization measures throughout the entire project life cycle. Faced with the complex project involving approximately 230,000 meters of cables, over 3,000 pieces of equipment and around 30 tons of outfitting parts, the project team always adhered to the core principle of "Safety First, Quality Oriented". Through efficient project management and exquisite professional technology, they not only ensured the on-schedule completion of all project milestones, but also achieved a significant leap in construction efficiency with the cycle greatly shortened compared to the first vessel of the series. Dalian C&I has won high praise from the EPC contractor DSIC Offshore Engineering and the shipowner with its "C&I Speed" and "C&I Quality".
As a leading enterprise in the domestic marine engineering equipment electrical sector, the successful delivery of this CO₂ carrier serves as the latest proof of Dalian C&I’s deep layout in the green shipping field. In recent years, the company has successfully delivered a series of landmark projects, including the world’s first 85,000 m³ ultra-large ethane/ethylene carrier, China’s first 8,500 m³ LNG bunkering vessel and China’s first 1,000-ton self-propelled self-elevating wind power installation platform with oil-electric hybrid power, all contracted by DSIC Offshore Engineering. The accumulation of these iconic projects has equipped Dalian C&I with core competitiveness to provide full-process, high-tech electrical system integration services for various clean energy marine equipment.
Based on the new starting point and facing the "dual carbon" future, Dalian C&I is integrating itself into the global green marine industry chain with a more proactive attitude. The company will continue to adhere to innovation-driven development and technology leadership: on one hand, it will consolidate the profound foundation of electrical construction for traditional marine engineering equipment; on the other hand, it will accelerate the layout and development in cutting-edge fields such as liquefied gas carriers, low-carbon/zero-carbon fuel-powered vessels and offshore new energy equipment. By providing smarter, more efficient and more reliable integrated electrical solutions, Dalian C&I is committed to working hand in hand with partners to jointly promote the green and low-carbon transformation of the marine equipment industry and contribute professional strength to global sustainable development.
